Digital revolution has allowed everyone to have the opportunity to make their own mass media easily and cheaply. The Press Council noted that there were around 40 thousand media in Indonesia today. As is known, IMA is an event to increase the capacity of community and small media in the field of quality of journalism, business models, and digital transformation. IMA registration was closed on July 25 with very diverse registrants.

Although dominated by the media with a web platform with text (articles, writing) as a delivery tool, many small-medium media that use optimal multimedia platforms, such as video. In fact, not infrequently the media that have left the text of the text and switch fully into the realm of multimedia.

Even more unique, some media use unusual delivery tools, such as comics or shirts. News is not delivered through news articles, but using illustrations and comics with a little text. Unique and entertaining. While other media do not display the news in print or electronic media, but on the shirt.

The people they represent are also very diverse. There are media that represent disabled groups that are rarely represented in the mainstream media. There are also women’s groups, even a number of media representing certain villages and villages. Marginal groups that have not been voted so far can be heard with special media of the community.

At present the judges, both from the Tempo Institute, the Independent Journalist Alliance (AJI) and the Indonesian Siber Media Association (AMSI) are selecting the participants. They chose 20 media that would have the opportunity to attend online and luring training in the middle until the end of this month.
