Within the eerie shadows of anticipation, a chilling TV spot for Eli Roth’s upcoming vacation horror masterpiece, “Thanksgiving,” has been unleashed upon the unsuspecting viewers. This spine-tingling preview introduces a brand new legend in American vacation horror—a slasher who silently prowls the quaint streets of Plymouth, Massachusetts, casting a sinister shadow over the celebration of time-honored Thanksgiving traditions.
Derived from Roth’s fake trailer within the 2017 movie Grindhouse, “Thanksgiving” weaves a nightmarish story round a pilgrim-like killer, fashioning a grotesque carving board from the unsuspecting inhabitants of a city that yearly revels within the festivities of turkey day.
The narrative unfolds in opposition to the backdrop of a Black Friday riot turned tragic, the place a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired assailant emerges to hang-out the very birthplace of the vacation—Plymouth, Massachusetts. With a lethal precision, the killer embarks on a macabre spree, choosing off residents one after the other. What initially seems as random acts of revenge quickly reveals itself to be half of a bigger, extra sinister vacation plan. Will the city unmask the perpetrator and emerge unscathed from this nightmarish vacation season, or is it destined to turn into unwilling visitors on the twisted dinner desk of this malevolent power?
The ensemble forged, led by the charismatic Addison Rae (He’s All That), contains abilities corresponding to Patrick Dempsey, Jalen Thomas Brooks (Walker), Milo Manheim (Zombies), Nell Verlaque (Large Shot), Gina Gershon (Chucky), and the dynamic duo of Tim Dillon and Rick Hoffman (Hostel).
Penned by Roth himself, alongside Jeff Rendell, and produced by Roger Birnbaum and Eli Roth, “Thanksgiving” is slated to hang-out theaters beginning November seventeenth, 2023. Because the clock ticks all the way down to this horrifying vacation feast, audiences are left to surprise if they are going to witness an exciting unraveling of the killer’s plot or discover themselves ensnared within the nightmarish tapestry he weaves.
