Series to remember: Tundra Esports champions BLAST Slam IV » Esports | Esports.gg

In one of the most epic Dota 2 grand finals of 2025, Tundra Esports defeated Team Falcons at BLAST Slam IV.

Throughout 2025, we have seen a lot of competition in Dota 2. One of them occurred between two giants, Team Falcons and Tundra Esports. On one side is the champion of The International 2025, while Tundra’s dominance in the BLAST Slam event is well documented. With the grand final of BLAST Slam IV being held, the two teams will face each other again, a repeat of the grand final of the previous tournament.

An identical draft proves the strength of Tundra Esports at BLAST Slam IV

Even though it was a short weekend of Dota 2 action from BLAST Slam IV, both the Falcons and Tundra gave us the peak we deserved. A full five-match series, with twists, comebacks, and absolute domination, is on the horizon. While the Falcons looked stronger early on, with an interesting draft to begin with, the Tundras kept their spirits high. Even though he was trailing 2-1 in the series, beaten by the TI champions, Tundra never wavered.

It was the final two games in the series that were the most exciting. Game 4 looked like it would be a tournament win for the Falcons. However, unable to defeat the Ancient One, they fell behind. Tundra took full advantage, taking the series to a decisive Game 5. And this is where the fun begins.

Both teams and coaches enter the final game draft with wins in mind, ending up selecting the exact same heroes as the previous game. This is the first time this has happened in professional Dota 2, according to the panel at BLAST Slam IV. Strangely, the events leading up to Tundra’s victory are also similar to events in the previous game. When Oliver “Skiter” Lepko’s Divine Rapier fell in both games, it was Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko who picked it up with Morphling and closed the game.

Three BLAST Slam wins for Tundra

This gives Tundra their third BLAST Slam championship in 2025, after winning the previous two tournaments this year.

For Tundra, they take this win into PGL Wallachia Season 6, which kicks off on November 15, before they look for another BLAST Slam on V in two weeks. The Falcons, coming off a FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 win, couldn’t turn their second post-TI event into a win. However, they hope to beat Tundra at BLAST Slam V later this month.
