This launch comes after months of growing signals. Earlier this year, Honor of Kings India’s social media pages quietly went live, and sources close to GamingonPhone had hinted that the game was preparing to launch in India, which was officially confirmed a few days later.
Originally released in China as The Glory of the KingThis game has been a huge success over the years. That Global version launched on June 20, 2024, and the numbers have been impressive from the start. In its first month alone, the game has reportedly surpassed 50 million downloads and generated more than 50 million downloads $100 million in revenue.
Honor of Kings follows a classic 5v5 three-lane MOBA setup, where two teams push lanes, secure jungle objectives, and try to destroy the enemy base. Matching is also quite fast, usually around 15 minutes, so it’s suitable for mobile sessions.
You choose from a multitude of heroes, many inspired by mythology and legends, and each with a different play style. The game also keeps things easy when it comes to competition. There’s no stamina system or hero grinding, so matches largely depend on teamwork, map awareness, and how well you use your heroes.
