Oz Re:write to end service on April 21, 2026 in Japan, ending its run of the fairy tale RPG early

DRIMAGE Co., Ltd, has announced closing their anime style RPG, Oz Re: write Shutdownscheduled for April 21, 2026. Developed by MACOVILLthe game was released in Japan in August 2025, and is now discontinued without even a global release.

So, Oz Re:write is an anime-style fairy tale RPG set in the isekai world called ANOTHER created by OZ. Now as her reincarnation, you can bond with adorable heroines like Snow White through Mirrorgram, and together they engage in 2D animated semi-automatic strategic battles.

Unfortunately, the Oz Re:write Team announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that the game would close on April 21, 2026, stating “after repeated consideration, we concluded that it would be very difficult to continue to provide updates that satisfy everyone on an ongoing basis.”

You can play up to EOS and request a refund for your Tailstones after that

Following the announcement, the game has disabled the Tailstone Shop. However, you can still use unused Tailstones and play the game up to the EOS date. And after EOS, you can request a refund for unused Tailstones, but I suggest you take a screenshot of your profile because you have to provide your Nickname and IMID.

Whatever the reason, it’s sad to see a game end so early, especially when the service hasn’t completed a full year yet. Many fans are as sad as those who love “the art style and world of this game.” Still it’s nice that the developers at least provided Art book to preserve the legacy of this title.
